Background

Founded by Abbie in 2018, Plentiful was the first plastic-free shop in the North West, built on a simple idea: sustainable living should be accessible to everyone, not just the most committed eco-warriors. During the pandemic, that mission expanded into a veg box scheme — quickly becoming so popular it took over the first floor of the shop. Today, Plentiful Doorstep is a growing part of the business, serving customers across the local area through home delivery and collection.


The challenge

As demand for veg boxes grew, so did the complexity. Managing a busy bricks-and-mortar shop alongside an increasingly popular delivery service became hard to sustain. Their previous ordering system created friction everywhere: packing mistakes, broken routines, and hours of admin responding to customer emails about holidays, swaps and last-minute changes. It was stressful, inefficient, and increasingly risky as volumes rose.

The Solution

Plentiful moved to Growing Good in August 2023, shifting the workload from the inbox to the storefront. Customers can now manage their own orders — booking holidays, swapping items and adding extras with clear, guided messaging — without needing to get in touch.

Behind the scenes, live baskets, structured packing data and clear delivery lists give the team visibility and confidence at every step. Orders can be reviewed in advance, packing checks happen throughout the process, and routines are finally predictable.

The results were immediate and measurable: Weekly orders up 50%, weekly sales up 58%

Just as importantly, stress levels dropped. Fewer mistakes, fewer emails, and a system that “runs like clockwork” has allowed the team to focus on serving customers — not firefighting problems.
